Urban Racquet makes its UK debut

Brand new to the UK and already reported to be generating interest from local sports authorities and schools, Urban Racquet integrates tennis, squash and badminton.

Capable of being played on a variety of surfaces, it's portable, easy to use and can be played competitively over a net or just for training or fun purposes without a net.

Urban Racquet has three aspects:
- Competitive - played on a tennis court or Urban Racquet court, over a net. The game has rules and a structure and is said to provide a very physical workout
- Training - a teaching aid to practice strokeplay. Can be played indoors or outdoors, with or without a net
- Play - for solo use, similar to the Swingball concept

Equipment consists of the Urban Bag, for storing the balls and assuming the function of a counterweight; two types of string, one for competition use and one for practice purposes; a turning ring; two balls, made primarily from rubber; and two aluminium framed racquets with titanium fibre strings.
